Preparing for Borrowed Light and Plein Air Painting Day.

I have spent a huge amount of time lately preparing for my next solo show, which takes place at The English Artist Gallery, Gold Street, Tiverton from 9th September to 10th October 2026. I am showing over 25 new works which all explore how light shapes what we see. A selection of this work is available to see under the heading Borrowed Light at TEA, Tiverton here on my website, and will be available on the gallery website at the beginning of the show.

I am also running a plein air workshop at the beautiful Ford Farm on the 19th September, to run alongside the show and to teach how I capture light in paintings. We will be exploring setting up for plein air painting, sketching in and painting an alla prima landscape. The day runs from 10am to 4.30 and includes materials and lunch.
